CHICAGO LETTERPRESS MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP
Instructor: Paul Moxon
This is an essential workshop for serious letterpress printer/artists with the top expert in the field. Paul Moxon is a studio letterpress printer, itinerant teacher and author of Vandercook Presses: Maintenance, History and Resources. He is also website editor-in-chief for the American Printing History Association, a recent Newberry Fellow, and a former Rare Book School Fellow.
This two-day workshop is a lecture/demo developed for artist/printers to guide them in the proper care and adjustment of Vandercook presses. This information is applicable to other brands such as Asbern, Challenge, and Reprex. Participants need not be mechanically inclined, but should have some familiarity with proof presses, and may handle tools and press parts.
